Celebrate Excellence in the VAPAA Community! We continually strive to spotlight the remarkable contributions that PAs make within the VA. We invite you to be a part of this appreciation! The purpose of our awards is to recognize PAs whose service and/or knowledge have made a significant contribution to the profession. These awards are not for years of service but for the quality of contributions made to students, patients, the community, and the PA profession.
Nominate an Outstanding VA PA
Do you know a PA who has consistently showcased excellence and dedication in their role at the VA? This is your opportunity to ensure they receive the recognition they so richly deserve.
Eligibility Criteria
- Nominee must have been a VHA PA for a minimum of one year.
- Nominee should be an active VAPAA member. (Click here to verify membership)
- Self-nominations will not be considered.
- Members of the VAPAA Board of Directors and Awards Subcommittee are ineligible for nomination.
Evaluation Criteria
Candidates will be assessed on their:
- Advocacy and enhancement of the PA profession.
- Commitment to delivering top-tier medical care.
- Demonstrated leadership.
- Active involvement in VAPAA, AAPA, and other local/state/regional PA events.
- Contributions to education and serving as a preceptor.
- Research and publication undertakings.
- Other notable accomplishments.
