Become a Pre-PA VA Mentor with VAPAA IMPACT’s “Bridging” assistance for an easy, fun, flexible, and life-changing time experience while making a huge career Impact on a Pre-PA Student!

Pre-PA VA Mentorship/Externship Outreach Mission Statement:VAPAA Members connecting with VA PA employee leaders nationwide, advocating for Pre-PA student education, mentorship & externship opportunities at VAs across America.

VAPAA IMPACT supports PAs at VAs with pre-PA student badging/credentialing and mentorship/externship processes to increase future employment of Physician Assistants/Associates at VAs, thereby improving access to healthcare for our Veteran Heroes of America.

Becoming a VA PA Pre-PA Mentor with bridging assistance from the VAPAA IMPACT Committee Outreach Program will allow you to direct all administrative questions and details to us. Therefore, allowing you to focus on being a PA VA Mentor for Pre-PAs!

1. VAPAA IMPACT - Follows policy and regulations under the standardized VA CDCE Standard Operating Procedures to educate Pre-PAs and interested VA PA Mentors on how to get Pre-PAs appropriately credentialed/badged for direct patient care, and externship experience.
   
2. VAPAA IMPACT - Will streamline and give directions on the credentialing process for the Pre-PA student and connect the Pre-PA students with the CDCE POC at your VA.
   
3. VAPAA IMPACT - Will educate any VA PA employee Mentors on possible projects and job duty assignments for Pre-PAs to participate in to gain direct patient care experience under VA PA supervision.
